Neurodivergent-Friendly Meetings
Inclusion doesn’t always look like drastic measures. Something as simple as leveraging existing tools found in Microsoft Outlook can help with HOW you schedule meetings. Keep reading how this inclusion hack benefits everyone, especially neurodivergent individuals.
Respecting start- and end-times of meetings is appreciated by everyone, and neurodivergent teammates really benefit from this structure. If a meeting goes even a few minutes over, a team member may be too busy thinking about what else they are missing or how this was a deviation from the plan to retain or contribute anything meaningful to the meeting.
MPG has experienced great results by adjusting the default settings of meetings. to be shortened by 5 minutes. Meetings may still run over sometimes, but at least this cuts into buffer time vs. making anyone late to the next meeting.

Follow these steps:
- Click File
- Select Options
- Select Calendar

Follow these steps:
- Click Inbox (click your face)
- Click Settings
- Click Mail Account
- Click Shorten All Events
