Education & Certifications

As of January 2024, Julia is a Blanchard Certified Leadership Coach! This is a new certification, and positions MPG to better pair coaching with the Blanchard workshops we facilitate.

Julia completed MIT Sloan’s Neuroscience for Business program. This greatly shapes her understanding of leaders – both neurodivergent and neurotypical – and enjoy bringing relevant pieces into coaching and programs.

Julia earned her Associate Certified Coach (ACC) from the International Coaching Federation (ICF) after completing over 125 hours of training and mentor coaching, along with 100 hours of client coaching experience, and sat for an exam. She is currently working towards the Professional Certified Coach level requiring 500 hours of client coaching experience.

Julia earned a certificate from American University in Leadership Coaching for Organizational Performance. This is an Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP) by the International Coach Federation (ICF) with over 125 hours of training.

To build out her understanding around clients with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Julia attended classes through the ADD Coach Academy (ADDCA), an accredited ADHD Coach Training Program.

Julia earned her Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Penn State University in New Ventures and Entrepreneurial Studies.

Julia completed her undergraduate degree (Bachelors of Science in Business Administration) at University of Delaware. Majored in Marketing and Management.

Julia has served as as a mentor in the Lerner Executive Mentoring Program to graduate students at the Lerner College of Business & Economics since February 2022.

Julia is a qualified facilitator of the SLIIĀ® model for a situational approach to leadership, which has been leveraged by leadership teams around the globe. MPG can also facilitate a number of other offerings listed here (non-exhaustive list; please reach out for more info!)

To add some data-driven assessment tools to my coaching, Julia got certified as a Hogan Assessments Interpreter. Most individual coaching packages include three Hogan assessments:

  • Hogan Personality Inventory (HPI): focuses on “bright side” of job fit or how participants show up day-to-day.
  • Hogan Development Survey (HDS) focuses on “dark side” of job fit or how participants show up under stress.
  • Motives, Values, Preferences Inventory (MVPI): focuses on the values and drivers important in organizational fit.

Experience

Coaching: Successfully logged hundreds of client coaching hours, working with leaders in industries ranging from telecommunications, cybersecurity, legal, finance, human resources and more. Partnered with private sector employees and businesses, and with federal and state employees/ public sector organizations, and non-profit employees. Coaching connects us with leaders at all levels, and we maintain space for leaders with ADHD. We always encourage a great fit on both sides of the coaching relationship. Here are some tips as you narrow down your search for the right coach!

Leadership Development: Managed a portfolio of over 50 commercial off the shelf (COTS) courses covering leadership topics, led the design and execution of large-scale top talent leader development programs for a Fortune 50 company, managed executive development programming (seven years).

Consulting: Supported clients in multiple countries with human capital consulting projects ranging from employee engagement and culture, to talent development, to tech adoption via learning, development, and strategic communications (five years).

Early career: Before earning MBA and entering consulting, Julia worked for five years at an insurance and financial services company. Through a rotational development program, she gained experiences in sales operations, event planning, marketing, recruiting, corporate relations and sales education.

Outside of working, we love volunteering in my community. Julia volunteers with organizations aligned with the world she wants to leave to the next generation.
