Why do MPG and Hogan Assessments fit together so well? Personality assessments, when properly debriefed by qualified interpreters, are incredible talent development tools. Uncovering blindspots, highlighting strengths, and understanding motivators are helpful in owning your leadership journey.
MPG started using Hogan Assessments because it was so well-regarded in the corporate setting, and seemed like a more thorough and accurate picture of a person than some other tools. This is exactly why we include the Hogan suite of assessments in programming and coaching packages!
Getting started with Hogan Assessments
After you begin working with MPG, you’ll be sent an email with personalized login information. Even if your company is paying for the assessment, YOU are the only one with access to this link. We recommend carving out a full hour to do take the assessments. Try to minimize distractions and refrain from multi-tasking to get the most valuable feedback. When possible, also pick a time where you are not feeling work or family pressures, and can just be a neutral version of yourself.
The hour is broken up into three assessments, and you will get a stretch break in between each of assessments. We encourage you to do all assessments in one block of time, so that you are approaching each assessment in the same state of mind. Many clients finish in less than an hour – closer to 45 minutes in some cases. It’s not a race, but hopefully this helps you plan.
What happens after I submit the assessments?
The time you spend completing the assessments will generate FOUR different reports with valuable insights. Prior to the coaching session or scheduled program, MPG will send your reports via email. Again, this are YOUR reports. MPG will not send these to anyone but you, even if someone else is footing the bill. It is up to you to decide what/how much you want to share with colleagues or leaders.
Flash Report
The first of the reports is the Flash Report. This is a great summary of all three assessments, and a highlight reel of what the other reports will share. This report is only two pages, but packs in plenty of value.
Hogan Personality Inventory 🟡
This report focuses on job fit, and covers how you show up on a regular day. This report is has yellow accent colors throughout.
Hogan Development Survey 🔴
This reports also focuses on job fit, but covers how you show up under stress. This report has red accent colors throughout.
Motives, Values, and Preferences Inventory 🔵
This report focuses on organizational fit. This will clarify some of the values and drivers you hold in high regard. This can help highlight great team/workplace fits, or help explain when things aren’t clicking.
Corporate or Team Workshops
The Hogan assessments are a great tool to use with corporate clients, work teams, and small business owners. MPG can host workshops with up to 30 leaders, and provide additional team reports. These team reports highlight different strengths, where a team may be over-indexed, and how to best work together to achieve team/company goals.
